Jabberwocky Warhol Pop Art Tee-Shirt
2010

I've always loved Lewis Carroll's (Alice in Wonderland) verse, 'Jabberwocky' because of how far it manages to push the English language while still conveying meaning. This project had its origins in a discussion about the effect that cell texting- with its convoluted abbreviations- was having on the English language. I wanted to see how far I could push the typographic characters themselves before all meaning broke down, and where better to start than with a verse that's already meaningful nonsense?
